Editor's Favorite Mock Eggnog

2 qts. cold milk (must be pasturized!!!)
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla (I like to add a little more than this...)
1 c. heavy cream

Combine milk and pudding; mix well. Add sugar, nutmeg and vanilla. Stir in cream (as is or whipped first - I usually just dump it in), stir well. You can sprinkle nutmeg on top of each serving for an elegant look, if desired.
